This is Stuart’s 8th term with the team. He iced in 59 games last season to take his career total with the Spectrum based outfit to 404; 1 of only 7 players in club history to reach the milestone. He finished the playoff winning season with 7 goals and 34 points. In all, Stuart has 94 goals and 220 assists as the player listed 14th on the team’s all-time scoring chart. The Durham native has posted more than 50 points in a season on two occasions. His best output came in the run to the 2007-2008 league championship when he had a 77 point haul thanks to 18 goals and a near team leading 59 assists. In addition to that league title and last season’s playoff win, Stuart has helped collect the 2007 and 2010 Cup as well as the 2005-2006 league championship. He opened his senior account during the 2000-2001 season when he skated with the Superleague Newcastle Jesters. He moved on to stops the following term with Milton Keynes Kings and Cardiff Devils before returning to Newcastle, this time with the Vipers. His 2 year stay included the British National League Findus Cup championship in 2003-2004 ahead of a Flames transfer in the ensuing off season. Stuart’s junior circuit culminated with a selection to Team Great Britain when he travelled with to the world junior championships in 2002.
