Warm up for the new season kicked off on Saturday night in France with a visit to Les Jokers de Cergy-Pontoise and a trio of Flames powerplay goals by the time the game was just over halfway through had the visitors in command for most of the night on the way to a 4-1 road win. 

Karl Boudrias was first on target with the extra skater when he bagged the opener at 9:22 and a Cole Sanford follow up, also with a manpower advantage in the 15^th minute had Spectrum’s men 2 goals to the good through the opening set.

Inside the back half of the middle frame, Matt Alvaro’s conversion ensured Flames would start the 3^rd up by 3 despite forced to kill a penalty in the late stages of the set.

Josh Waller made the most of a 45^th minute breakaway to extend the difference to 4, but a Cergy strike a little over 6 minutes from time on Brad Arvanitis spoiled the bid for a combined shutout between he and the night’s starter Justin Fazio.
