Recap
After Coventry recovered from 2 goals down, Marcus Tesink bagged the winner late in the 2nd to break up a 2-2 tie and send Flames home with a 3-2 road win. Charlie Curti opened the scoring at 13:44 and Mathieu Gosselin during a 5 on 3 powerplay 73 seconds from period time had the visitors up a pair to start the 2nd. At 27:05 Grant Mismash cut the Blaze deficit in half. Just a couple of minutes later his 2nd of the evening had the teams back on level terms, but a reply by Tesink sent Flames to break again up by a single and that difference remained on the board when the 3rd period timed out. Justin Fazio made 31 saves on 33 shots against Mat Robson who turned away 19 of 22. Gallery |
