Flames have added American Nick Seitz. The 6’1”, 190lb forward began the season with Sheffield Steelers where he iced in 7 League and Cup outings, registering one assist. His Yorkshire stint followed the 24-25 set with Coventry Blaze where the native of New York finished 2^nd on club scoring with 30 goals and 59 points in 54 league starts. His success earned him an EIHL 2^nd All-Star team selection as well as a 2^nd team nod for the EIHL media All-Star team. 

Coventry was Seitz’ Pro debut after 4 seasons with NCAA Princeton University where 114 games yielded 17 goals and 49 points. 

“We obviously have had a brutal injury run lately, so this is an important addition in terms of numbers,” said Paul Dixon, “but Nick had an unbelievable season last year in our league and he will be a massive boost to our forward group.”

“He skates very well, is strong and works hard and can clearly score.  Things didn’t work out in Sheffield as happens on occasion when teams make adjustments and try to fit everyone into their group, but we are very pleased to have been in a position to bring Nick to us and we believe he will have a big impact on our club.”

“Nick is obviously already in the UK so the move itself is pretty straightforward, but all the paperwork has to be re-done to finalise his new working arrangements. Hopefully he will be able to get into games starting next week.”
