Guildford Ice Hockey Supporters Club
All season ticket holders are provided with membership to the Guildford Ice Hockey Supporter’s Club which includes preferential merchandise pricing, access to 'meet the players' events, and voting rights for supporters player awards. For more details on the Supporters Club please read on below.
The club is managed by a volunteer committee and exists to support the Flames through fundraising and social events. The committee works with the Flames and Spectrum management to help them to provide a safe and pleasant environment for spectators at home games.
The supporters club committee have the following responsibilities:
50-50 draw – at each home game, 50-50 tickets are available for purchase at a price of £1 per ticket. These are sold until the first period break. A winning ticket is then drawn and 50% of the proceeds are presented to the winning ticketholder with 50% retained for the benefit of the Flames.
200 club – each member of the 200 club pays a monthly fee which provides entry to a monthly draw with a first prize of £50 and a second prize of £25. At the end of each season, a jackpot draw is made with £1000 presented to the winner. To find out more about the 200 club or to obtain a joining form, please email (email contact coming soon) or visit the supporter’s club desk at skate hire on match nights. A list of recent 200 club prize winners can be viewed here.
Shirt raffles – a couple of times each season, a raffle is held with an authentic Flames jersey presented to the winner.
Sponsorship grid – supporters are invited to sponsor the kit of their favourite Flames player and have their name included on the sponsor grid published on the Flames website. Certain levels of sponsorship will result in an invitation to have a photograph with “your” player on the ice after a home game and may also result in entry to a prize draw for an authentic Flames player jersey. Visit Sponsor Grid page.
Social events – the supporters club regularly organise social events for supporters to meet the players and staff of the Flames. All social events are advertised on the Flames website. Non season ticket holders can attend supporters social events as a non-member fee will be provided for all events. For social enquiries contact Kandra at GIHSC.Social@gmail.com
Pick a puck – on certain match nights supporters are invited to pay £2 to “lucky dip” for a puck signed by one of the Flames players.
Door stewarding – volunteer door stewards assist the Spectrum staff with the inspection of tickets, seating directions and assisting ticket holders with any issues they may have.
The supporters club committee members are happy to engage with anyone who has questions or suggestions and are happy to raise these with the Flames or Guildford Spectrum management as necessary. Contact the Chairman Phil Boyle at GIHSC.Chairman@gmail.com.
