Flames forward Ethan Strang will be back for a 2nd season.  The Canadian skater finished this past term 2nd in club goals and points with 28 and 53, respectively.  The 6’1”, 180lb Canadian spent 2023-2024 at ECHL South Carolina Stingrays with 3 goals and 6 points in 13 starts after a 27 point haul in 28 appearances with USports MacEwan University earlier in the same term. In 2 University seasons he had 21 goals and the same number of assists in 52 starts.

The 24 year old native of Cochrane, Alberta spent 2018 through 2022 in the AJHL with Grand Prairie Storm. His best season was his last with 37 goals and 58 points in 55 outings to complete his 177 game stay with 110 points from 63 goals and 47 assists.

“I don’t think anyone was expecting Ethan to come in and be among our top goal getters, but that that is how things turned out, and it was a pleasant surprise to get that much offence from him over the course of his first full professional campaign,” said Paul Dixon.

“He is still a relatively young player with some development runway in front of him and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do with the experience of knowing league and club when he takes the ice once again.”
